Lola Ortega Rodas is a visual artist working across illustration and contemporary embroidery. Her practice explores social issues and the loneliness of urban life, using thread and drawing as tools for reflection and storytelling.

She works with the physical and symbolic tension of thread. Blending traditional techniques with a contemporary approach, her work embraces the handmade, slowness, and material sensitivity as forms of resistance and poetic language.

Lola currently lives and works in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
